The modernist almost austere exterior contrasted wildly with the exhibitions, but very nicely presented collections (I like well-done museum productions). You can also visit the museum online here.

I was in Manama last week, and among other things had time to sneak a visit to the Beit al-Quran, to see there amazing manuscript collection. This one is of course the Chapter of the Elephant (Surat al-Fiil)!

National day
