Yumurtalik...

... is actually the closest village to the new oil terminal Ceyhan (a town a little way into the country) on the easternmost tip of the Turkish coast, in the Gulf between Mersin and Iskenderun. The terminal has received Iraqi oil for 25 years or so but is now also the site of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan terminal. An official international inauguration (one of several, that I'm aware of ;-) ) took place this week. I visited the site last year, but have no photos to show you. These sheep were grazing nearby though!

It seems likely that they will keep on grazing nearby fir more years to come!
