Soviet cupola
You might not be able to tell, because it's not too badly done, but the large blue cupola on the centre Tilla-Kari medressa is actually not original but a Soviet-era renovation addition (1960's I think). It could be a lot more obvious though. It's seen most clearly from inside, where, looking at the inner ceiling, there is no vault or cupola - just a semblance of one to fool the eye.
